The phrase ‘hole in the wall’ is a definition of a not very well known place that is great for a night out. We wanted to find out where these hidden gems were by speaking to some Beijingers. So in one week, we interviewed a total of 14 people.These interviews actually became our gateway to enter various social groups, allowing us to peek into their lives and discover what Beijing means to different people. In a way, these people are the holes in the walls.They are not famous but they are part of the ongoing urban evolution of this city.
